How do you come together and share a resource?
Cheney Parks & Recreation come together with the Cheney School District and Eastern Washington University to share their facilities as a resource to our recreational programs that we provide to the Cheney Community. Unfortunately, the Cheney community lost their Parks and recreation Community Center due to heavy snow fall in January 2009. We no longer have a facility that can host our programs so we have used our resources by placing our programs in the Cheney Schools and Eastern Washington University. We offer many recreational programs for all ages as well as two before and after school programs, two summer day camp programs and many preschool programs.
How would your group use the award money?
our orginization would use the money towards by storage containers for equipment at the schools for our programs. Our staff carry back and forth all equipment which can be a hassel. We would also like to by new equipment for our preschool programs, our before and after school programs, our two summer daycamp programs and other recreational programs that we offer to the Cheney community.
